Leveraging Transferable Skill Sets

While the corona virus has forced many to work from home, some are now unemployed.  Whether gainfully employed from home or unemployed, everyone has skills that are transferable.  This virus may be presenting
you with the greatest opportunity to use those skills.

As an example, you may be a customer service representative who can work from home instead of the office.  Or you can be a waitress who is able to transfer the skills of working with the public to a customer service representative who works from home.

Everyone has skills they use for work.  Some may call those skills your strengths.  Then there are skills and competencies that you use in every day life.  Except, they don’t appear to be valuable at work.  For example, you may be a master at keeping your composure in high stress situations.  You can create a support group with people who are emotionally challenged by the corona virus.

On today’s show, Lori and I will discuss how people can increase the quality of their lives in the face of a state of emergency.  Many of you have untapped skills and competencies and don’t know how to tap into them.  Call into our show and we will help you brainstorm new possibilities.

Don’t let the virus devastate your life.  Use it as a platform to exploit new opportunities and rediscover yourself.

Join us.

The first show starts this Thursday, March 19, from 7:00pm-8:00pm (EST) at The Creative Alchemist with Ted Santos and Lori Miller on www.blogtalkradio.com.
