For some reason, sex on the first date is taboo, even if
both want it. At the same time, a
man is praised when he is able to persuade a woman to lay down with him on the
first date. The woman, on the
other hand, may be condemned. In
some cases, the man
who conquers her sexually is the first to condemn her. How did such a double standard come
into existence?
How does that affect dating? More importantly, how does that double standard affect a
woman’s attitude towards sex?
From another perspective, this taboo can serve as a
distraction from two people getting to know one another. While they are being distracted by sex,
the idea of building a close bond for a relationship falls to the side and sex
becomes the focal point. As a
result, when sex finally does happen, they may feel like strangers. Who wins when that happens?
Join us today for another thought provoking discussion. Let’s see if we can remove taboos and
create everlasting bonds.
