This had to be the liveliest show we have done so far. And it was amazing to hear the variety
of thoughts from men and women. It
seemed this show struck a nerve for everyone. Before we hit the airwaves, the controversy started on
Facebook where the topic for the show was first announced. Once on the air, some callers were
happy to engage in the topic, while others almost turned it into
a mixed martial
arts match. What could trigger so
much emotion?
This past Sunday on Straight Talk, with Ted Santos and Blair Nash, we discussed a
somewhat simple topic – listening skills.
Within that conversation, we wanted to know: Do Men Avoid Listening
to Women?
For this one we had a woman as a guest speaker. Between her, Blair and myself, we
imparted a number of tools that will support people listening audience. We covered listening styles and how
simple misunderstandings can be strictly a matter of communication methods.
We also addressed how inherited behavior can sabotage the
best intentions. To discuss that
perspective, we had to peel the proverbial onion in layers. If you want to better understand why
your communication efforts are derailed in your most important relationships,
this show is for you.
