Go to just about anyone’s
social media page where they discuss relationships, and you will find some of
the most barbaric and disrespectful content you’ve seen in decades.
Men and women have always
seen things somewhat
different, but the last eight to ten years, it appears as
someone has thrown gas on the fire. Women calling guys things you used to only
hear via gangster rap songs, and men responding with the same heat.
It used to seem as though we
had an everlasting love affair with one another. That’s been readily replaced
now by anger, triggered comments, abusive language, etc.
Seems like no matter how kind and peaceful each side tries to be, the
“proverbial olive branch” is knocked out the other gender’s hands, and there’s
no peace or respect to show for it.
We are going to break this subject down into three parts: how it got started, why it’s going on (and is there a deeper reason), and finally how do we begin to pull ourselves from the wreckage.
