Mr. Richard Goeglein is a seasoned business executive who has led
high-growth billion-dollar companies through mergers, acquisitions and
divestitures. Along with his extensive experience in the US casino and
hospitality industries, he has also worked internationally in consumer services
and products sectors.
He is currently Chairman of the Board,
Pinnacle
Entertainment, Inc. He joined Pinnacle's board in 2003 and became Chairman in
2010. He previously held a succession of senior executive positions with Holiday
Corporation, the global hotel and casino company that owned Holiday Inns,
Harrah's Hotels and Casinos, Hampton Inns and Embassy Suites businesses. He
served as President/COO of Holiday Corporation from 1984 to 1987, and was
President and Chief Executive Officer of Harrah's Hotels and Casinos from 1980
to 1984. Mr. Goeglein served as President from 1997 and Chief Executive Officer
from 2000 of Aladdin Gaming, LLC and Aladdin Gaming Holdings, LLC, the
developer and operator of the Aladdin Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas
Strip until 2001. He is currently Chairman of the Board,
Currently, he is a faculty member, moderates webinars and participates as a speaker and panelist for the National Association of Corporate Directors. He is a member of the Advisory Board and Vice Chairman of The Board of Veteran CEOs, and serves as a trustee on the Board of Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada, a 503C non-profit.
Mr. Goeglein has previously served as a director of 13 Public and Non-Profit organizations. He holds an MBA from Stanford University.
