How to Raise Capital on Your Own Terms

At some point, every business needs a little outside help.  In most cases, that help can be a little extra cash.  It is one of the dilemmas of a fast growing company; not enough cash to support growth.  Or it can be the needed bridge in tough times.  When entrepreneurs venture out to raise that additional capital, it comes with
costs that are not always favorable to business owners.  Nevertheless, it’s better than closing the doors.

As your organization grows, you may find investors showing great interest.  While they may offer capital and expertise to make life easier, you may find they have turned you into an employee, instead of the proud entrepreneur you have become.  For some people, that works.  For others, that’s a risky proposition.

What if you could raise capital on your own terms?  What if you could get the best of all worlds and remain completely in the driver’s seat?  To explore that path, we will have a very special guest.  Her name is Valerie Emanuel.  Valerie is an accomplished senior executive and advisory board member of multiple companies.  More importantly, she has over 30 years of experience across financial services and capital markets.  For this show, she is going to shine light on a hidden opportunity many entrepreneurs miss.  And she will simplify it.

From her view, there are a few important questions to consider when raising capital.  One, what’s best for your company?  Two, what makes sense to the investor?  Three, is it easy enough for the investor to understand?

Join us for a very professional and insightful conversation about money.

The show starts, Thursday, August 27, from 7:00pm-8:00pm (EST) at The Creative Alchemist with Ted Santos and Lori Miller on blogtalkradio.com.
