If you have a GPA of 3.2 or higher, you are held in high
esteem, unless you are in the black American community. There you will be ridiculed. In some cases, you will be physically abused. In 1960, Harvard University made a
policy change that negatively affected this part of black American
culture. And it has created a
super upper class in all races.
That super upper class is growing and creating a devastatingly huge gap
between the black community and blue collar whites. After Harvard made one
change, many of the other prestigious universities followed. What policy could be so devastating
socially?
While Harvard was making changes, desegregation of public
schools had been happening for three years. As schools experienced desegregation, a new lower class of
black communities began to emerge.
In 2020, the new category of lower class people may have
nothing to do with race. It will
have more to do with intelligence and access to resources.
Let’s talk about how we arrived in a society with an
increasing gap between rich and poor.
Let’s talk about the culture that has been created for both
classes. And what can be done
about it.
